Privacy Policy

Last updated November 4, 2026

This policy explains what LurkID collects, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers two groups: businesses that use LurkID ("customers") and people who visit our customers' websites ("visitors").

If you visited a website that uses LurkID

What we collect. When the LurkID script runs on a customer's website, it records the pages you view, the time, your IP address, your browser type and a cookie ID, and it may add items you view or add to a cart. Our data partners may match that visit to contact details they hold, such as your name, email, phone number, LinkedIn profile, job title, company, city and whether you own your home.

Why. So the business whose website you visited can follow up with you about its services, and to measure whether that follow up worked.

Who receives it. The business whose site you visited, our identity and data partners who perform the match, and service providers that host and run LurkID. We do not sell your information to anyone other than the business whose site you visited.

Where it works. LurkID only identifies visitors in the United States. It does not run for visitors from the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.

Do Not Call. When a phone number is on a Do Not Call list, LurkID marks it and turns off the call and text buttons for that number.

Your choices.

How long we keep it. Visit records are kept up to 13 months. Matched contact details are kept while the customer's account is active, then deleted within 90 days of closure, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

If you are a LurkID customer

We collect your name, email, business name and website, your plan and billing status (payments are handled by Whop, so we never see your card), your settings and integrations, and how you use the app. We use it to provide the service, send sign in links and lead alerts, give support and keep accounts secure. We do not sell customer information.

Security

Data is stored with Cloudflare. Access is limited to people who need it, sign in uses one time email links or passkeys, and secrets are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

LurkID is not for websites aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.

Changes and contact

We will post any changes here and update the date above. Questions or requests: support@lurkid.com.
